About
I have an MFA in Classical Acting AND I work at Talent Company Management 360. There are NO acting coaches with my breadth of experience and knowledge!
I know you're a good actor/good orator already.
The fact that I can assist in making you a great actor and speaker, is an extreme honour.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
1st I listen. I need to hear the needs of the student.
I need to discern are they auditioning for anything, do they have any Shakespeare experience, how do they feel about Shakespeare?
After that I build a bit of a curriculum, Classically based but takes into account their needs.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have an Mfa in Classical Acting from the Old Globe/University of San Diego (they only accept 7students a year), which means my specialty is Shakespeare, Moliere, Restoration and Comedy of Manners.
I also have a lot of industry knowledge that can only be learnt over time. Why waste your time, when I've already spent the time learning what is and isn't useful.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Online: $45/hr Intro Price, $60/hr regular pricing OR $75/hr 90min
We have a lot to get done in a short amout of time, and the longer we work with one another, the more specialized the training. We’ll go into text analysis, and Classical techniques that feel like games, but "games" artists at the Straford Festival use to prepare their characters.
How did you get started teaching?
My Mfa is a terminal degree, which means I'm qualified to teach at the University level. As a working actor, I love getting back to technique, which teaching gives me an opportunity to do.
Also, being a black Classical Actor is a type of teacher I've never had. It is my honour to be what I did not have.
What types of students have you worked with?
All types.
I've taught Highschoolers at a Shakespeare intensive in Boise, ID when I was working with the Great Lakes Shakespeare festival.
I've also worked with PHD candidates who just want to feel as confident presenting their work, as they did compiling it.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I'm currently preparing for a few Shakespeare auditions I can't talk about yet, but one is for a show I've never been in, and the other for a show I've done twice!
Using auditions as classes/training grounds changes them. That time, space and experience now belongs to you, regardles of the outcome.

In addition, I also created a webseries called "Sip & Tell" The highlights from Shakespeare, where I get to share Shakespeare stories, without all the "boring bits."

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Make sure they're the right teacher for YOU, not just that they're famous or have worked with famous people. That they speak YOUR language and they listen to your needs. Not how many reviews or how many famous people they know. Because my greatest teachers treated me like I was their most valuable student.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
What exaclty do I want to learn? What skills do I feel I'm in need of?
