Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
We start with an interview to establish the student's goals, timeline, and budget. Then we establish a plan that suits all three.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Our team has over 10 different certifications.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Our pricing is somewhat flexible, as we are sensitive to the fact that everyone has different needs and financial constraints.
How did you get started teaching?
I started teaching when I was in school and the only way to practice was to bring people together with whom I could train. It wasn't long before word caught on, and business grew.
What types of students have you worked with?
We've worked with all types of students from young children, to professional athletes, to law enforcement personnel, to individuals with movement disorders.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I'm particularly fond of a young man who was very shy and reserved who 'came into his own' after about a year of training. He is a completely different person.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Make sure you find someone who is willing to give you a free introductory session. You shouldn't have to pay to figure out if a prospective teacher is a match for you.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
What are my goals?
What is my timeline to achieve those goals?
What am I willing to sacrifice to reach my goals?
How will I benefit from this service?
What am I looking for in a trainer/mentor?
