We are an Adult studio offering Ceramics lessons for beginners to professionals. We also offer Private Lessons for Childeren being home schooled or who are otherwise interested. we offer adult classes in 8 week increments that meet once per week and also offer additional open studio hours for our memberships. Team building, Date Night, friends Night Out, and small Partties are also facilitated.
We are proud to offer a positive learning environment to inspire creativity in the field of ceramics and find clay to be a healing art making material.
Nathan Winship Smith, Artist In Residence, who serves as Educator and Studio Manager, has earned a Masters Degree in Fine Arts with a focus in Ceramics, from the University of Notre Dame.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
For Adults, Pop up classes are a one time 2hour crash course at the pottery wheel.
For Children under 11, we offer one time 2 hour Hand-Building projects.
For Committed Beginners ... Our typical 8week Adult class covers the basic fundamentals of hand building, glazing, and wheel throwing.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Nathan Winship Smith holds multiple degrees in Fine Art focusing on Ceramics, Drawing, Art History & Gender Studies, including a BFA & MFA.
Additional Degrees / Certificates in Applied Science, Automotive Technology, and Automotive Service Management.

lessons vary in price. One time 2 hour pop up lessons start at $30 with minimum enrollment of two persons.
Private Lessons for Childeren/Adolessents begin at $40 per classroom hour.
Our Adult 8 week class (Beginners-intermediate level) are $250 per 8 weeks.
How did you get started teaching?
Around 2008 Teaching and Instruction started for Nathan when he was attending Herron School of Art and leading a Saturday school ceramics class.
