Hello! I’m Dru, a singer-songwriter and guitarist from Kansas City. I show people how to play guitar, bass or ukulele. I also teach songwriting, home recording and music theory.
My lessons are completely driven by my students’ goals. I love showing people how to do exactly what they want. Do you want to learn how to play acoustic guitar and sing at the same time? Don’t hesitate! Dru is the the best! He will craft a plan for you to learn on your pace, and really guide you toward how to achieve what style/gene interests you most! I was a novice and after 5 months I’m amazed the things I’m able do on guitar. The amount of musical knowledge he has blows me away every time we meet. Whether you’ve never picked up a guitar or just want to get better, Dru is the one that will get you achieving your goals!

What I like about working with Dru is his enthusiasm for his students to not only learn guitar but enjoy themselves during the process. Dru exhibits a wealth of knowledge and teaching experience, that anyone would be lucky to find and work with. I have been working with Dru for 7 months and I know I wouldn’t have progressed to this extent on my music adventure without the environment he created and the attitude he brings to every lesson.

Dru does a really wonderful job at gearing your lessons towards what you want to focus on while including all aspects of learning how to play and music theory. As an adult learning guitar for the first time, I had sort of specific goals as to what I would like to do and he has been the perfect teacher for me! He is a wonderful artist in all regards, so if youre hoping to also sing and play hes great for that too. Highly, highly recommend!

He is such a reliable teacher, and not only that but he moves at your pace and makes everything easy to understand, while still pushing you to where you need to get. His humor and overall character makes the lessons go from,a tense practice, to something that I look forward to each week, where you get to learn so much not only about your instrument, but also music theory as a whole. I could not recommend someone better fit for the job as your music teacher!!
