About
Hello! Thank you for your interest! My name is Gina. I live in Thomasville, NC. I LOVE playing music and especially teaching others. My students range from 5 to 75 years old. As you can see, you are never too old to start learning how to play a musical instrument.
I have been playing music since I was 4 years old. I started with piano then went on to play violin in the 5th grade. I played clarinet, saxophone and drums from 6th through 12th grade and was the Drum Major for 3 years. As an adult, I learned also how to play guitar. I wish everyone would take an opportunity to learn how to play music as it is so relaxing and rewarding in addition to being entertaining for those around us.
I see each student as an individual with their own level of experience and goals they have set for themselves. I do my best to make sure above all else that my students have fun and feel a sense of accomplishment with every lesson. These are the secrets to developing an accomplished musician, who will continue playing for many years to come as well as building a solid foundation and creating a gateway to learning other instruments if so desired.
I give lessons in my home as well as in my students home (for an additional $5 within a 30 minute drive).
I hope you will consider me in getting you or your child started in learning the art of playing music. My first lesson is free and more of a Meet and Greet to see if we are a great fit for each other and to decide on the instruction materials best suited for the student.
I hope to hear from you! 🎵🎶🎵🎶

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I meet you where you are musically and mentally. First class is free. During this first meet and greet, we make sure we are a good fit for each other. We discuss your goals for your musical journey and you can show me what you may already know on the instrument of your choice and/ or any background you may have had in music theory, ie- reading notes, time signature etc.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
My standard pricing is $25 per 30 minute session, $35 for 45 and $45 for 60 minutes.
I charge an additional $5 per lesson in student's home for travel time and expense up to 15 miles.
