About
Although I have a master's in Church Music and Piano Concentration, and over 25 years of experience, the most important thing for anyone to know about me is that I love music, teaching, and children! What a wonderful combination to have when teaching piano! I also teach children with special needs.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I see each student as a unique human being. I like to get to know what their likes and dislikes are; when we begin, I ask for a short autobiography to get to know them better, their goals, their dreams, their interests... I use a method called Piano Pronto and incorporate games and other off-the-bench activities, as well as other methods and pieces.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Master's in Church Music with Piano Concentration, and over 27 years of teaching experience, including those with special needs.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Monthly tuition is due the first week of each month.
How did you get started teaching?
When I was in graduate school, we had to do student-teaching. I got hooked. :)
What types of students have you worked with?
I teach all ages, all levels. Students include very gifted to those who struggle to learn and other special needs.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Look for someone who cares for you as a person, who enjoys teaching, who enjoys having fun, and who pushes you to do the very best that you can!
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Why do I want to learn piano? How can I use it eventually? Am I willing to work hard and do my best? Do I have to enter contests? Do you have recitals? What have other students/ parents said about the teacher?
