About

The lessons are fun and effective, whether they are on an electric or acoustic guitar or bass.

I teach all ages and incorporate the music interests of the student into the lessons to help them learn the kind of music they want to play. This is achieved through teaching theory and improving technique, including Barre chords, improvising, scales, sight reading both treble and bass clef, and more.

My proven success with students comes from 30-plus years of teaching experience.

Give me a call and we will discuss your needs!

Whether working with a beginning or experienced player, I take great pride and joy in helping to mold them into the musician they aspire to be.

Bill is a great teacher. He is patient and tailors his lessons to the students skill level and taste in music. His musical catalogue is amazing. What I like best is that it is not just about learning songs. Bill does a great job of teaching concepts and then showing examples of how those concepts are used in songs that his students enjoy.

Bill has been teaching for a long time and it shows. He keeps my son interested in guitar by teaching him the songs he knows and likes. They work a little on reading music and a little on scales every lesson. Then they spend the rest of the lesson learning the songs. What my son doesn’t realize is how often Bill comes back to the scales while teaching those songs. Now the boring scales are fitting into the song he wanted to learn! Making it interesting is the key and Bill is a master.
He is extremely easy to work with on schedule from a parenting perspective. Life happens and Bill works with us in those instances. Always early and always confirms his afternoon appointments in the morning.
Plus he is incredible on guitar in his own right. One of the best guitarists I’ve ever seen and he teaches my son every week!

We are in our 4th year of guitar lessons with Bill, and he teaches both of my elementary age boys. From the start, he has taught them to read music, which has been helpful as they’ve played various other instruments in school and will benefit them with any instrument they choose to play in the future. He suggests music that will keep them interested in playing, and he is open to helping them learn any song they may want to, adapting it to fit their skill level. He is flexible and accommodating with scheduling, friendly and easy to work with. He doesn’t just want his students to learn to play, but also to love to play. I highly recommend Bill!
