Energy. Passion. Connection. The list goes on and on. Steve is an incredible teacher, and person. Each lesson he meets me where I am and walks side by side with me to learn in the most fun and creative ways. Learning music has unlocked new parts of my life and Steve is there to encourage every moment.

Steve helped me see my potential and I am playing better than I could have imagined in just 4 lessons. He has so much talent and is so enthusiastic. I started with Harmonica and now I’m learning blues riffs on the piano. So much fun!

Steve Grandinetti is the best and most comprehensive Bass/Music instructor Ive had, and Im closer to 50 than 40. In my first lesson, it was clear to me that his level of understanding music as a whole is at a level of the masters. He plays many instruments, and in so, was able to help me understand the purposes of all the instruments, which helps me have a good Band mindset. Steve is a high energy, positive feedback and supportive instructor. I always feel happier about my progress after a lesson with Steve.
Steve plays and offers instruction on many instruments. I have personally seen him play all at a very impressive level. If you are looking for quality, fun, instruction, Steve Grandinetti is the best place to start.

Steve is an extremely talented and motivated teacher who has challenged me to reach past my comfort zone in a wide variety of different genres. He cares about my development as a musician and encourages me to build off my failures. Ive learned so much from theory to groove and everywhere in-between. Highly recommend.

    Frequently asked questions

First lesson we get to know each other and what level we start at then I share the big picture and how we will get there, the journey is all that matters since with music learning never ends if you are sincere. First lessons are always so much fun!

I attended  Manhattan School of Music, The Julliard School, Fordham University on a music scholarship, and Loyola University School of Music in New Orleans, as well as University of Pennsylvania- I have BA in Music and and MSEd in education/counseling which combined with years of experience teaching and performing, recording, touring etc gives me a holistic approach to my work.

I started teaching when I was 12, giving drum lessons for 50 cents to my local neighborhood kids. Then I taught steel drums in high school at a summer camp and also taught music at several camps and in schools. Began teaching piano, theory, drums and guitar when I was 17 years old. Teaching comes easily to me and I love helping people learn, because music is an extension of the self.
