About
I have a passion for music. I always have. I want to share that and the skill set I have with others. It's great to know people have interest in learning an instrument. Guitar has always been my first instrument. I hope I can make it that way for someone or at least one of others they can play. I took my first guitar lessons in the late 1990s. I play rythym for my wife's band. I am also a songwriter. I'm not a lead player. I can teach guitar basics and chording.
I enjoy teaching, passing knowledge and skill I have been blessed with on to others and hoping to see them exceed what I have taught them. Maybe they can come back and teach me.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I first talk about the guitar, the parts, the types, the individual strings and their associated note. Then we begin work on basic chords. As they learn the chords, we transistion into chord changing/progressions.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I was taught by My Mom's neighbor. He taught me basics and I learned the rest from others. I play rythym in my wife's band.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
$30/session
$100/4 sessions ($20 off)
How did you get started teaching?
I tried teaching a lesson to someone I knew in the past. It didn't work out due to their commitment. I did a small group with my church where I opened up a night & I would give free lessons during a semester. I had one student and she ended up better than she started!
What types of students have you worked with?
Beginners.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
if you're looking to take guitar lessons, it doesn't matter if your teacher is a world renown lead guitarist ir somebody who can just strum basic chords...you get what you put in... if you don't practice outside of lessons, you're not going to do well. You have to have a bit of commitment.
