My teaching approach: My teaching method is very versatile. I try to mold my teaching method to fit each student because every student is an individual and will learn things in a different way. An explantion of a technique to one student will not always work for the next student. A guitar lesson with me might entail the following: We will start with a warmup, go on to learning a scale and then hit some rhythm and chord work. After that theory and improvising takes place. Finally, we work on a song chosen from a list picked out by the student to tie all the things from the lesson together. The qualities I look for in an ideal guitar student might include the following: My ideal guitar student has an open mind and good work ethic.
