About

Hi there! I'm an experienced shooter and Range Safety Officer for the Boy Scouts of America. My lessons focus on the basics of gun safety as well as ownership, maintenance, cleaning, marksmanship, defense and outdoorsmanship.

i focus on respecting firearms and knowing what situations to use them.

Licensed to conceal carry in multiple states for years I also go over AZ conceal carry statutes and best practices.

Being able to provide for your family is crucial. Being a hunter myself I enjoy teaching respectful hunting safety and best practices.

I am happy to tailor lessons to your interests and specific needs.

My goal is to teach confidence in firearms through practice, safety and best practices.

I try to keep my prices at a minimum, there are range fees, you can bring your own ammo and firearm, and tip if you feel like you learned something.

If you are looking for a military level tactical shooting class this is not it!

Looking forward to connecting, and thanks for stopping by.

Rose Range Training

Becoming a new firearm owner can be an overwhelming experience. From helping many of my friends and family cross over to this side I find joy in knowing that my students are better prepared and mush less likely to have accidents with proper training and practice. Owning firearms is everyone's natural born right. Having access to free firearm training is not a right but everyone benefits when it's available!

Frequently asked questions

Hi there,

I’m looking forward to our lesson coming up!

Agenda for lesson:

•Show up at Ted’s Shooting Range. https://tedsshootingrange.com

(During summer months this is our indoor spot.)

•Fill out waiver and membership info.

•Pick out eye and ear protection if you don’t already have it.

•5 min gun safety overview, 5 min overview of your firearm's specific safety.

•Aiming and Shooting basics. 10 min

•Shooting practice at 7,10 and finally 15 yards. (We move on once qualified)

Ammo will be the greatest expense of shooting proficiency. You heard that right! to be prepared, bring brass cased new ammo to this range in the caliber you mean to practice with.

(you may purchase ammo at the range but it is a premium price)

They will not let us shoot steel cased ammo or any steel core ammo. The best prices I have seen for ammo are at www.Trueshot.com where I purchase mine. You can purchase and have it shipped to you but they also let you order online or in store and pick up directly from the warehouse which is a great experience.

I would recommend bringing at least 200 rounds for the hour of shooting.

Bonus: Ted’s runs a special and Ladies have 1 hour of free lane time on Tuesdays & Thursdays.

Lastly, you can always bring family or a friend with!

Cheers,

Channing

Cheapest bulk 9mm ammo on trueshot 31.9¢ per round. For 1000 rounds

https://trueshotgunclub.com/ammunition/pistol-ammo/federal-independence-9mm-115-grain-fmj-1000-rounds/

Ammo prices don’t make much difference if you buy in bulk if you get what’s cheapest and still brass cases.
