Piano Studio

The primary purpose of piano lessons is to develop the musical talents of each student to the fullest potential by providing an integrated program of music study, note reading rhythm, technique, ensemble skills, composition, repertoire and music literature in an environment where learning is fun and challenging. Excellence, creativity, sharing and self-esteem are stressed and valued so that the student will be able to pursue a lifelong enjoyment of music.

Multi Media Music Studio

My studio features a whole new world of music education including:

General MIDI enhanced Digital Piano Lab for private/group instruction of all ages.

Several learning centers; a computer station complete with the latest music software for theory enhancement, an extensive listening library and multi-media center, workbook stations, music games, sight-reading exercises and incentives.

Lessons and Calendar

Lessons are given on a weekly basis August through May. June Lessons are available. Summer Camps are available throughout June. Lessons resume the first week in August. Private lessons

are 30 min up to one hour each week fees change accordingly. Rotating lessons are held for 1-hour. Approximately three students will be rotating between stations. Each student will receive private time during that hour. See Registration form for more details.

Studio Lab will be a variety of technique, theory, rhythm and ear training skills, music appreciation such as composer analysis. Students are expected to respect all studio property and to use equipment carefully. If a student does not respect the property in the lab, their use of the lab will be limited.

Julie Lerch is an active member of the Arizona State Music Teachers Association, East Valley Chapter, and the Music Teachers National Association.

Julie was trained by the Royal Conservatory of Music in Alberta, Canada. After completing her piano levels she attended Brigham Young University where she received her BA in Theatre Arts Education for Secondary Education. She is an Arizona Certified High School Teacher who taught drama in Tucson, Arizona for 11 years. During this time she also taught “Show Choir” and also dual -roled as director and accompanist.

After which time to devoted her time to creating her music studio now known as, “The Creative Kids Piano Studio.”

Julie has experience in superb teaching skills along with public speaking. Julie has given many motivational talks to several youth groups throughout Arizona encouraging them to foster great character traits within themselves. Several community organizations have requested her expertise to accompany school and church groups.

Julie’s personal mission statement is, “Making Music Fun through Quality Education Methodologies.” Through creative learning stations each individual’s learning style is available. Hence all the Multiple Intelligences are being incorporated in each lesson. The program consists of music appreciation, music history, composer appreciation,

theory completed both manually or computerized, technical components, as well as fun interactive games that teach theory. Julie incorporates all types of methods to help each student learn effectively. She also incorporates summer music and drama camps for students of all ages.
