If you would like a fun, motivating and educational period of instruction on the fundamentals of marksmanship taught by a United States Marine, Former Police Officer and experienced firearms trainer you have the right company. Mario Bertuccelli started his formal firearms training in the USMC, has combat experience from the battle of Fallujah, later became a police officer and firearms instructor for all police officers. Mario also became an NRA firearms instructor and teaches many types of specialized NRA courses. Our blended safety course will allow you to obtain your CCW permit, which has many perks and benefits.
The Law Enforcement Officers Safety ACT (LEOSA) allows law enforcement officers and retired or separated law enforcement officers to carry a firearm without a state-issued permit. As a LEOSA firearms instructor, I cater to retired law enforcement professionals. I am also available to certify retirees from a federal agency or the military. I enjoy watching a student improve and ask a lot of questions. I love hearing how they are constantly practice the art of dry firing and going to a gun range to apply their skills. Seeing their results on their targets is a bonus and tells me they are listening and doing what was taught to them.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Find out about their firearms training, past experience and what they would like to know about. I cater to their needs and no matter their experience level, I always focus on the proper fundamentals of marksmanship methods. Many students with past experience have bad habits and need to be retrained since they were never taught the proper methods.

It really depends on the size of the class, their experience and location because of travel time.

I ultimately teach because of the importance behind carrying a firearm. You must be a responsible gun owner.
What types of students have you worked with?
Every person from all walks of life. Those with and without knowledge of firearms, ammo, and storage. Many do not have any experience so it gives me greagg to pleasure to teach them the correct methods and to share all my experiences.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Surviving combat, Phantom Fury, which was the Battle of Fallujah between 2004-2005. A lot happened but there was no better place and time in history to really put all of my training to use. Luck had a lot to do with me coming home, but I also was mentally prepared before, during and after, which I believe is the most important.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Do your research on the instructor, the company and make sure they have the experience and training to teach you what you need to succeed.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
There are no dumb questions.
Never assume or think you know it all.
Be humble and come to learn.
You should be willing to accept there are many ways to be a successful and be a responsible gun owner.
