What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I want to know what their goals are, then go about the different ways to reach them.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
BA from Wayne State university in music, classical guitar major instrument. I worked as a registered music therapist in Detroit.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Driving to students: 35 for 45 minutes.
Online: 20 for 1/2 hour, 25 for 45 minuets.
How did you get started teaching?
I started teaching on 1968 at Fava Music in Oak Park, MI.
What types of students have you worked with?
I teach adults and kids, also special needs students as I am a trained music therapist. Although I am now the most booked performing guitarist in AZ through the Bash (formerly Gigmasters).
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I enjoy teaching and performing for corporate events and weddings.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Don't buy a guitar until you talk to me. Also, work for personal excellence and don't compare yourself to others. Have fun!
