I am an adult student and it has been great working with Christina. She is very patient, kind, understanding, and knows what it takes for me to succeed. Christina knows how to challenge you where you need it and if you're willing, she will help you refine all of the details of your playing. Highly recommend.

She has been a really friendly teacher and my children enjoy learning from her. She has great knowledge and they seam to have a good time learning to play.

Excellent instructor. Lots of patience. Christina listens very carefully and make very constructive corrections and suggest. She is quick to give praise. Her dedication to her students is evident. I am a senior student, studying with Christins for 2 1/2 years and feel I have an excellent instructor.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

Getting to know the student and what they would like to achieve through lessons.  Helping also to establish a practice routine.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

Bachelor's degree from ASU

Masters degree from New England Conservatory of  Music

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.

30$ per half hour

How did you get started teaching?

After graduation started my own studio. Over the yrs have built up on average 40 students in both flute and piano.

What types of students have you worked with?

Ages 7- adult.  Beginner to advanced.

Describe a recent event you are fond of.

Every Christmas I take my students to perform at a different retirement community.  We perform holiday and classical music on flute piano and flute ensembles.  We all look forward to this performance every year.  The residents are so thankful.

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?

Make sure the teacher is proficient on 1 or 2 instruments.  If they teach multiple instruments you will only get a broad overview of how to play that instrument as opposed to someone who has intensely studied one or two instruments.  Strong education background and performing experience very helpful.

What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?

Goals- interests in musical styles- practice commitments.  Performing opportunities.
