Through my studies as a music therapist, I have learned and practiced various way to provide the best instruction and musical experience to students of all ages and learning styles.
Due to covid-19 it is important to continue to grow and learn new skills. I have invested in high quality video cameras and audio equipment to provide the best quality lessons.
Being able to share and expose my students to the joys of music.
We as humans are musical by nature. We move to a beat, we dance to a beat, and our hearts beat to a beat.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
My process is to learn to how each student learns and develop unique lesson plans in order to provide the best lesson.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Extensive knowledge in various styles of guitar, ukulele, and music theory. I have two degrees in music therapy and psychology.
My educational background is from Arizona State University, where I studied music therapy and guitar. I received guitar instruction from Frank Koonce who is internationally acclaimed as a performer, teacher, and writer.
As an educator, I believe in making the musical experience fun and educational by creating an individualized lesson plan that will provide each student with the best opportunity for success. I have worked with a wide range of students both in age from 4 to 90 years old. Also experience working with students who have learning disabilities.

Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Due to Covid-19, I have been involved in virtual open mics. With everything going on in the world it has been amazing to connect with other musicians throughout the country.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Through our musical exploration it is important to learn from everyone, follow no one, watch for patterns and most importantly to work every hard!
