About
Hello! I am Yoli and I absolutely love to dance ballroom, latin, swing, and country almost as much as I love teaching singles or couples how to dance with eachother. I am very good at preparing wedding or quinceañera dances/choreography for couples or large groups. I have quite a bit of performance and competition experience that I am happy to pass onto my students who would love to experience showcasing their dances or teaching them to survive on the social dance floor. I will focus on what your dance goals are and do whatever it takes to help you reach them. I have been teaching dance to both youth and adults for over 20 years and never have met a student who wasn't able to learn how to dance. Give me a call and we'll get started on your dance goals asap!

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
New students usually start off with an introductory lesson, which is two Half-hour private lessons at a discounted rate, to see if I am a good fit for their dance goals. This is where I will get to know what you want to accomplish in your dancing and I will put together a dance plan that is ideal for your needs, then you can have a better idea if I am the right teacher for your needs.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been dancing for a very, very long time. I started my training during my childhood years with ballet, tap, jazz, and mordern. While attending college in Colorado, I was offered the opportunity to dance with a Latin dance company called Ballet Folklorico de Colorado. This was where my passion for partnership dancing started to blossom. After 10 years of performing and teaching Folklorico Latin dances, I started my training in the official sport of Ballroom Dancesport. I now have more than 20 years of teaching dance and love it! Help me continue my passion by allowing me to introduce you to your next passion!
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Introductory Special is $40 for Two half-hour private lessons for singles or couples. This includes instruction and the floor-fees or travel set-up. Floor-fee applies if you travel to me, and travel set-up fee applies if I travel to you. There are many options for continuing your lessons beyond the intro special. The options will be presented during your introductory lesson, based off of your goals and needs for learning dance.
How did you get started teaching?
I naturally fell into teaching when our dance master asked me to cover a children's class for him. From that day on, I never stopped teaching.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have experience working with all ages. I have worked with elementary, secondary, and young adults for many years, but I mostly work with mature working adults now who are looking for an outlet, healthy lifestyle, a new hobby, or just have always wanted to pick up some new skills for the dance floor. I have found throughout the years, that adults have the most desire to learn dance and want to make sure that adults of all ages get the chance to reach their dance goals. It's never too late!
