My work can be described as impressionistic and explorative. Oil portraiture is my bread and butter, but line work, acrylic scenery, and abstract are all also close to my heart. I've been painting since I was a child and made it into a career about 3 years ago! I love teaching novice artists how to work with various mediums- it's all about how it feels in your hand! I believe anyone can be an artist with a little direction and practice, but the key factor is being unafraid to make "mistakes" and learn. There is no right or wrong in creativity, there's only intuition and the telling of a story. Let's tell your story together! I can't wait to work with you.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
First, I like to figure out what the student is interested in learning. Art has no limitations! But of course, you must learn to walk before you can run. I focus first on understanding the medium of choice, either acrylic or oil paints, and then move on to the subject matter.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been a professional painter for the last three years. I have had displays up at local coffee shops Crema coffee and Bisbee Breakfast Club. I also have had displays at art shows including the RAW Convention. With over 20 commissions sold, my passion is to create work that speaks to its future owner.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
My pricing for beginner students is $50 per hour. Often times, I will provide recommended artists to study and attempt to mimic in between our training sessions.
How did you get started teaching?
Thus far, I have only taught painting recreationally to friends and family. I am looking forward to expanding my client base!
