What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Jamison and Jackie have more than 100 credits between them and have worked with some of the biggest in the business, Robert Downey Jr., Robert Duvall, Dennis Quaid, Michael Bay, Channing Tatum, Cameron Diaz.
We've been professional working actors in LA for nearly 20 years, and have been training and coaching actors for nearly ten.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Private coaching runs anywhere from $105 -$60 depending on the amount of time you need.
We also offer self-taping services (with or without coaching), and package deals for four hours of coaching.
How did you get started teaching?
LA On Camera opened in 2008 with just a single room in our house, and over the years has expanded to two studios in the heart of Burbank offering more than 10 classes a week.
What types of students have you worked with?
We work with all types at very age range and level in their careers. The training we provide is very technical however, so a strong foundation of acting training is preferred.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Anyone that you pay to teach you a skill or technique should be able to do that themselves. You wouldn't hire a driving instructor who has never been behind the wheel, so why would you hire an acting coach who isn't out there working?
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Be clear in what you need. Some students need more foundational training to expand their range and hone their craft, and some have moved on to the next level and are looking at how they can use those skills and talents to get work. This is what we do.
