Kilcher’s Classes
About
Hello my name is Qorianka, I have been acting for over 25 years. Throughout my years of experience working on both film and television sets, I have been able to refine the skills and techniques that are most used while filming on sets. I began teaching because I noticed that many acting coaches out there weren't giving their students the real life tools and knowledge when it came to auditioning or working on set. I believe as artists it is our responsibility and duty to pass on our knowledge. I also have a back ground in dance and music. I studied at The musicians Institute and was trained by vocal coach to the stars, Seth Riggs.
I find that both music and dance go hand in hand when it comes to acting and learning to embody one’s characters both physically and vocally. I don’t believe there’s any right or wrong way when it comes to Acting. I think it’s important to have a general understanding and knowledge of all the different methods of acting and find what works best for you. I like to tailor my lessons based on the student. I like to find what makes them unique and special and build around that
Helping others discover what makes them unique, and build from there.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I like to give them a scene and see what their own natural choices are and then build from there.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've studied Method acting, Stanislavski , Meisner technique and Voice acting. I was also trained to teach singing by the world renown vocal coach Seth Riggs.
How did you get started teaching?
I always Felt it my duty to pay it forward and share any knowledge I have with others.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Look for a teacher that allows and wants your magic and what makes you unique develop. Remember, if any teacher tells you what you are doing is "wrong" run! In acting there is no "right" or "wrong". Acting is reacting, so in many ways we all have the foundation to be actors if you have the passion, love and dedication to peruse it. Those three things are the most important ingredient when it comes to acting! Because Acting is not always easy.
