About
My methods as a teacher begin primarily with emphasis on fundamentals, i.e Bow hand position, violin position. I emphasize the need to practice on a consistent basis. As in any walk of life, there will be little to no improvement unless you do so. I also believe in treating each student differently, however, as there are some who simply want to have fun and learn something new. I like to set goals and time markers so as to make sure students are progressing in a healthy manner.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
My pricing system is quite basic.
My home-studio and online rates are:
$18/30 minutes
$26/45 minutes
$34/60 minutes
For traveling to the student, the rates are the same PLUS $5.
How did you get started teaching?
I got started teaching as a way to remain always connected to my violin and the world of music. As you may or may not know, making a living as a full time performer can be very challenging and so it seemed the natural choice to expand my horizons as a musician and teach others the craft of playing the violin.
My first student was found online.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with students from many spectrums of life - young, old, beginner, intermediate, etc.
Some of my students were looking to get trained on just a couple of pieces to get ready for an audition or a performance. And some of my students were simply beginners looking to learn from scratch.
I've worked with people in their twenties who were novices, and have worke with 12 year olds who were advanced beginners to intermediate.
