VOICE AND PIANO LESSONS
Hi there! I am Alice. I am a professional musician, soprano Opera singer, and pianist with a Bachelor of Arts in Music Education and a Master of Arts in Education. I`ve been teaching professionally for over 15 years and right now I am a music teacher at the Chula Vista School of Music, in San Diego, CA.
MODERN HARMONY/PIANO COMPOSITION/IMPROVISATION
I teach modern tonal harmony, piano composition, and improvisation. Julliard School of Music System from New York.
PIANO LESSONS
Learn how to play the piano easily and fast! I will teach you how to do it with a modern method more tailored for adults that want to start playing faster without taking traditional piano lessons. Learn chords and melody and before you know it you will be playing your favorite song. I will take complete beginners to an intermediate level in a very short space of time. If you already know how to play the piano, we will work on improving your technique, increasing your repertoire, and challenging yourself with new songs learning the ability to play and interpret music accurately and fluently. Sheet music at the appropriate level will be provided for every student and my aim is always to build confidence and have fun! All lessons are tailored to suit the individual. I teach all ages and genres of music.
VOICE LESSONS
In my classes, I will show you the foundations of singing. It doesn’t matter what style of music you want to sing. You will learn warm-ups and practice techniques, and about vocal placement and projection. We will also work on diction and interpretation. In my classes, I will show you the foundations of singing. I will extend your vocal range using simple exercises and vocal strengthening techniques so you can hit higher notes. I will develop vocal power by training you on proper breath control. I also want you to be able to build confidence to perform in front of people.
COMBINED LESSONS
You can learn both singing and piano in the space of one lesson at no extra charge.

I select material for the lesson individually, according to my student ́s wishes and abilities. I want my students to reach their musical potential and aspirations while having a wonderful time!
ONLINE LESSONS
A recent MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology) study found that online learning is just as effective as in-person learning. The internet provides a fantastic opportunity to learn from the comfort of your own home! With my setup, I am able to coach you just like we were in the same room together. We will be working one-on-one with sessions tailored to your specific needs.
I love to interact with my students and teach them all that they want to learn in music. I am very patient and I really enjoy seeing the progress they do.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Bachelor's Degree in Music Education and a Masters Degree in Education. Master classes of Harmony, composition, and piano improvisation (Julliard School of Music). Master classes in classical and Opera performing (Eastman School of Music).
What types of students have you worked with?
For more than 10 years I have met all kinds of students. All of them have been very important to me. I learn with every student that comes to my classes. They are very different and also give me the challenge to focus on every goal they want to achieve. I love seeing them motivated to grow and learn more every time we meet. My goal is to develop their unique musical skills.
