The opportunities of learning different genres of music made percussion playing more interesting and challenging. I was also exposed to percussion instruments I was not familiar with before (bongos, concert toms, etc).
He was the coolest, nicest, bestest teacher ever! He really knew his stuff- from mallet instruments, to drums and timpani, to small percussion instruments- he was well versed in everything!
