Classes are held in a working artist studio. I work with individuals seeking to tap into their creativity and try something new and artists needing to loosen up or expand their repertoire. Neurodiverse artists are very welcome.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
When working with a new student we work on identifying their long and short term goals in order to personalize the experience. I also look for goodness of fit to ensure we can work together.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
A lawyer by training, painting is my second career. I have been painting professionally for 6 years having mentored under San Francisco abstract artist Nicholas Wilton. I have training in the field of Expressive Arts working towards my certification as an Expressive Aets Consultant and Educator and I work as a mentor to artists with autism. I'm currently pursing a MA in Humanities and the Creative Life. I'm the cofounder of AMP- the Artist Mentor Project.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
$65 for two hours (plus a free 30 minutes for set up and clean up)
Students need to bring their own brushes and canvases. Student grade paint and medium will be supplied.
How did you get started teaching?
During my studies for my certificate in Expressive Arts I started working with adults in recovery. From there I started by offering workshops in my studio and offering experiences in creativity on AirB & B. In 2019 I was was awarded a grant to mentor artists with autism. In 2020 I was awarded a grant for my work in the arts.

Adults of all ages. Young adults with autism.
Teens.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Seek out a teacher that will allow your own artistic voice to arise. Be open to try new approaches.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Do you want to learn to draw? Not all teachers, myself included, offer drawing classes. Look for goodness of fit.
