Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
First, its benificial to have students bring in a project that has been done with in one to three years.
From this evaluation we can determine the medium the student would like too persue.
....if student is interested, I am willing to show examples of some of the art I have done , both photo & actual art piece.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My education goes back to being a kid, Ive always shown interest in drawing and painting. During elementary my teachers would have me do projects either for students too colour or maps or artifacts to help students learn more about the subject of study.
Once being in community college I would build strong relationships with professors and would work with them with installing art ahows, too later in life when I had my own gallery and I would exhibit and promote there art work.
When I opened a working studio/ exhibiting gallery I was able to teach students once again on a personal level. The studio also created a class room setting for students to come in and learn in a group setting which gave them the opportunity to share ideas and struggles.
