I have been an educator privately as well as in public schools and institutions since 2016.
I am a patient and passionate teacher who loves to see her students grow in skill, expressiveness, and enjoyment. I believe music is for sharing, and enjoy sharing and making music with you, whether you're a beginner or a professional. I will explore with you any style of playing that you’re interested in.
Watching my students grow in skill, knowledge, and love for music is my greatest reward as an educator.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
(1) What are the student's goals for lessons? (For example, getting to a certain level of proficiency, learning to improvise, just having a good time, etc.)
(2) Get to know the student a bit
(3) Schedule second lesson, if there is mutual interest
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a classical violinist, conductor, and composer. I am also trained in classical piano and singing.
M.M. in Instrumental Conducting (2023) at Azusa Pacific University; B.M. in Music Composition (2019) at Azusa Pacific University.
I am currently the principal second violinist in the Azusa Pacific University Orchestra. I have taught privately and at musical institutions in the San Gabriel Valley for more than six years. I have also conducted symphony orchestras, string ensembles, and professional as well as children choirs.

$40 per hour. (plus $7 travel fee within 10 miles)
How did you get started teaching?
The concertmaster of the APU Symphony moved to another location and left his teaching job in Temple City to me.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have taught students of all ages (ages 4-50+), absolute beginner to professional.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I enjoyed performing on the violin at the Warner Bros Studio backlot in Burbank with the APU Studio Orchestra.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Find a teacher who will meet you where you are and know how to guide you toward your goal.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Are you prepared to practice? If you don't practice, you won't benefit from lessons as much as you should.
Are you prepared to be consistent with lessons or be in regular communication with the teacher about your availability?
