What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I will start by evaluating the student's level thrugh a conversation, and design a teaching plan according to their specific needs.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have double majored in Chinese Han language literature and English. I also have received the Certificate for Teachers of Chinese to Speakers of Other Language，CTCSOL.

How did you get started teaching?
I started off as an English teacher, until my Foreign friends came to me for learning Chinese. I found my passion in it and was teaching Chinese eversince.
What types of students have you worked with?
All levels. From elementary, Highschool students, to University leveled adults (Especially HSK students).
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Don't expect more than 20% of English communication during my class, for it cultivates dependence on explanation in the language you are more familiar with.
Students who took interest in the written Chinese characters recieves remarkable progress comparing to other types of students.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
I am a very demanding teacher. I prefer teaching students with specific learning goals. I expect my students to like Chinese characters.
