My name is Gabriel Casas, I am a very patient, passionate, and energetic Piano Teacher. I have 15+ years of experience in beginning, intermediate, and advance piano instruction in all genres. I am a highly motivated educator of piano and songwriting.
Your individualized lessons will be both fun and informative. Always prioritizing your individual preferences and goals with each lesson.
We will go over ear training, rhythm, sight reading, musicianship, performance skills, song selection, and theory.
I also offer songwriting lessons that you can take along with your piano lessons, or separately with your instrument of choice.
I've always known from early on that I was going to be a piano teacher because I loved taking piano lessons since the beginning when I asked my mother for them and because I was always teaching other kids in my neighborhood.
I love being involved with teaching piano because of the benefits it brings which include improved self-esteem, spacial intelligence, emotional intelligence, counting and math skills, creativity, time management and organization, concentration, patience, hand-muscles and eye coordination, rhythm and coordination, and literally so much more!
It brings me great joy and a real sense of accomplishment knowing that I'm making a positive impact in people's lives while passing on an old tradition and artform that must always be honored.
Gabriel has been teaching my son Riser (age 7 now) for over 2 years now. We feel so blessed! My son progressed so quickly. Gabriel is patient, engaging and has a gift for helping kids grow their piano skills week by week. I love that he's also created "recitals" for his students to play for people! We recently switched from in home lessons to doing them through FaceTime, and it's almost like having Gabe in our home with us.
Gabriel is an excellent teacher. He is extremely knowledgeable and very patient. The material that Gabriel finds for my daughter has kept her very interested and happy to practice everyday. Both my daughter and I love that he incorporates the fundamentals of keyboard theory while keeping it fun by giving her the choice of songs she wants to learn. I highly recommend Gabriel to anyone wanting to learn piano.
I'll begin by asking the student about their specific goals and desires for the lessons. Then I'll have them play something and ask them questions about piano beginning with general and moving to more difficult so I'm able to see where they're at, what their strengths are, and what their weaknesses are. I'm known for making learning piano fun while instilling a solid foundation for a lifetime enjoyment of making music!
