About Glow Fitness

We have offered joyful, up-tempo group dance fitness classes in a friendly, welcoming environment since 2012.  Our classes and instructors are AFAA certified group fitness professionals who love to teach and create fun, effective dance fitness workouts that will increase your fitness and overall wellbeing.  

Our location is in Dance Connection, a studio with sprung wood dance floors that cushion and protect your joints while you dance.  We also have wall-to-wall mirrors that allow you to see the instructors from all angles.  If you are looking for an instructor for a private event (such as a birthday party, festival, or office event), we are happy to come to your location.

Q: What is your typical process for working with a new student?

A.

It is a breeze to get started!  Just drop in at any of our classes.  Plan to arrive about 5-10 minutes before the beginning of class to sign in.


Q: What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

A.

We are AFAA-Certified Group Fitness Instructors, licensed and certified in each of the dance fitness formats we teach.


Q: Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.

We try to give you many options for your convenience:

Drop in $15

Punchcard 10 classes for $100 (no expiration)

Monthly Unlimited Dance Fitness Membership $60 (in-person), $55 (with recurring payments on our website)


Q: How did you get started teaching?

A.

We all love to dance and wanted an opportunity to dance every day, without having to leave our families and go out to a dance club at night.  We also wanted a fun way to stay healthy and in good shape.  Dance Fitness was the perfect solution!  After taking classes as students, we became instructors ourselves to continue to share the joy and health benefits we experienced with others!


Q: What types of students have you worked with?

A.

We work with students of all ages and abilities.  Our students range from toddlers (with parents present) to students in their 80s.  We have had students with hip and knee replacements, and even a student who did our classes in a wheelchair.  Our classes are designed to provide options for you.  You can do whichever option feels best (from gentle and simple to more intense and complex).  No dance experience is needed!  


Q: Describe a recent event you are fond of.

A.

We love participating in fundraisers and events.  One meaningful event was a Party in Pink to raise money for breast cancer research.  We had hundreds of participants, many of whom were breast cancer survivors, and raised thousands of dollars for the cause.


Q: What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?

A.

Find someone with access to a good dance floor.  Dance Fitness can be a strenuous physical activity.  It is extremely important to dance on the proper floor to protect your joints.  


Q: What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?

A.

What are my health and fitness goals?  How can this teacher help me reach my goals?
