About

I love teaching students this amazingly simple type of meditation, Ascension! And, I love using this meditation practice with my eyes open as I create my stained glass designs! When things flow, it is obvious in the finished product.

Teaching meditation is so rewarding! It is helping people discover the truth of who they are and how to be free from the judgements and commentary of the ego/mind. I resigned 25 years ago as a university professor to become an Ishaya monk and teach Ascension, because it is the most important thing I could ever teach! And I am so grateful that I followed that inner voice of Truth!

Creating beautiful works of art, that simply come through me, is fascinating and exciting! And, it is especially exciting to now be in Hawaii where the inspiration is so strong! I work in copper foil, lead and also do glass fusing and have created everything from small sun catchers and jewelry to large 7' windows. I love it all!!

Samadhi taught me ascend a little more than 4 years ago. She is a gentle, loving and dedicated teacher. This practice has changed my life in so many positive ways.
I have purchased several pieces of stained glass from her, too, and they are all beautiful and remind me of the beautiful person she is.

The quality and love put into each art piece. You can see and feel the beauty in them. The tree of life ornament Samadhi made for me to gift during Christmas was so beautiful. Wished I would have ordered one for me.

Frequently asked questions

The Ascension Meditation courses are taught in a weekend format... Friday evening, all day Saturday and all day Sunday.  It is a mini-intensive that often includes past students coming to 'audit' the weekenk.  There is then a 6-wk follow-up with weekly meetings where the students receive reminders and have their questions answered.  After that, they are encouraged to join the group of 'seasoned' Ascenders, and continue with weekly meetings.  There are also on-line webinars and retreats in which they are now able to participate.

Prior to becoming an Ishaya monk, I was a University Psychology professor as well as a psychotherapist and hypnotherapist... well-versed in how the brain works and also about how the mind works!  The weekend I learned to Ascend, it was very obvious to me that this approach to meditation could work very effectively!  I then attended a residential 6-month Mastery of the Self course before graduating as a teacher.  In the intervening 24 years I have taught hundreds of First Sphere weekends, plus many advanced courses as well.
