I have helped thousands of students of all ages in developing their musical aspirations into a reality. I'm very, very patient with students in the learning process and as a result I can work with whatever pace you can move at.
Working with you in establishing a great foundation of the "basics"first is extremely important to me. The reason why is that most "issues" that people have with their playing is something they missed in their foundation.
I have been teaching for almost 40 years now. I have taught students in every ikind of circumstances that you can imagine.
It is very rewarding to me is to see the results of simple practice in developing your skill level.I also love the teaching process: working with the student, encouraging them to hang in there ...I simply love to teach people.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Number one thing .... find out what your dream is. What is in your heart to do with the skills that you want to develop.
This way you know that any thing I teach you is in some way directly or indirectly related to your seeing your dream come true. Then I lay out a basic time frame and cost (practicing) to get to where you want to be.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I had 8 years of piano lessons ,six years of guitar and 2 years of drum lessons. The biggest thing I have is a great deal of experience in training thousands of people over the years.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I charge $25.00 for a 30 min lesson. This is the going rate. $100.00 per month paid at the start of the month.
How did you get started teaching?
I was in 9th grade my neighbor wanted me to teach his little boy some guitar.
What types of students have you worked with?
Every type of student. And I mean "every" type. From 5 years old to 80 years old. From restless little boys that couldnt hold still to a guy that had sawed his three fingers off in an accident and now after working for 2 years with him , he had full use of his fingers.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Look for someone who will give you the foundations of what you want to learn. Not someone who will just try and teach you song after song.Also you want someone who is a true teache,r not someone who is a great player but doesnt really know the steps to get you to your goal.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
What is your dream? How long have you wanted to do this dream. Two weeks or years. How does this dream fit into your "gift mix". In other words other things that you want to do with your life. Do you want to do music just as a hobby or do you want to seriously pursue a career in music.
