What is your typical process for working with a new student?
We decide on an age appropriate book for the student which may be one book or a group of smaller books that work together (lesson, theory & technique). It's best to meet weekly and we just delve into the material, maybe grouping certain pages that are teaching a specific technique. I supplement with easy to learn songs also in the beginning.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I studied piano and music theory at the Pillsbury Bible College in Owatonna, MN.
I've played for church services: protestant traditional, Catholic and Contemporary Christian music.
