Ultimate Kickboxing & Fitness
About
The fitness industry is inundated with personal trainers. Most recently there has been an influx of on line trainers. What makes me different from them?
My initial client assessment interview and screening takes 2 hours. In order to develop a quality individualized fitness program, it is essential to know my clients' past experiences, goals, and current fitness level in depth.
Once completd with your persontal training, you will have all the tools and education to continue your fitness journey. The rest is up to you.
I have been a certified personal trainer through Nesta
for 9 years with continuous education in hardstyle body-weight strength training conditioning. In 2007, I began utilizing kettlebells at the studio and after training using the RKC method I pursued my Russian Kettlebell Certification 2009. I pursued double kettlebell training after my recertification in 2011, and in 2012, I also became certified in Battling Ropes, Food Psychology through Nesta Certification, and Functional Movement Screening (FMS). My studio Ultimate Kickboxing & Fitness hosted, and I assisted in a Hardstyle Kettlebell Certification (HKC) workshop instructed by Senior RKC Franz Snideman. Since then I've also completed my TRX Group Instructor certification 2014 and Strong First Barbell Course in 2014. Most recently I have completed my Russian Kettlebell Certification RKC II, 2016. I am in the process of completing my Precision Nutrition Level 1 Certification.
Training is a lifelong process. I will always seek to increase my knowledge and skills so that I may pass the information on to my clients. In the words of one of my respected colleagues Max Shank, "better every day."

How did you get started teaching?
I have always been into strength training since I was a teenager. As I developed my own training, I started training others in my garage. In 2006, I purchased the gym that I did my cardio kickboxing in. Then the rest is history.
What types of students have you worked with?
All types for sedentary to athletes.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Ultimate Kickboxing & Fitness Facebook page list many events that we hold right in our studio. We offer different training for strength and weightloss programs.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Many personal trainers are certified, however, that does not mean they are certified to train people using different aparatuses like kettlebells, TRX, ropes, etc.... A great personal trainer will take courses to qualify them to use and train clients with these aparatuses. The goal is to keep your clients safe while they work on reaching their goals.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Clients need to have goals. Not just come in saying they want to lose weight.
