My teaching approach:

I'm a very relaxed teacher and like to have fun, but still strongly encourage learning things the right way the first time. I encourage practice, dedication and efficiency, but I know when to joke around, have fun and teach you your favorite songs. I teach practically every style of music. I'm influenced by everything from classical to metal.

Your first guitar lesson with me might include the following:

The first lesson I like to just jam out and get a sense of where you are with your playing. I assess where we should start and give you something to take home. I wrote a lengthy curriculum that will take someone who has never held a guitar in their life, and turn them into someone who can shred.

A guitar lesson with me might entail the following:

Through my lessons we will have fun and learn songs, but also cover theory, exercises and everything you need to know to be a great guitarist.

The qualities I look for in an ideal guitar student might include the following:

Someone who appreciates guitar and is dedicated to getting better. Have a good sense of humor, but be devoted to learning the boring stuff.
