The coaching process opened my eyes to the importance of being clear about our own personal vision. I believe that we all know, deep down, our true purpose in life. This purpose can become disrupted by the missteps we all experience. The role of a coach is to help you untangle the bundle and free you to discover the life intentions that give meaning and purpose to life.

Heart of Gold Life Coaching prices its coaching packages on a sliding scale based on the client's income. The coaching packages are customized for each client.
How did you get started teaching?
In 1995, I earned a Masters of Science. I secured my first teaching assignment in 1996. I was on the "ground floor" of a new program offered through Sacramento Community College. The course was called "College Success." This course was designed to support and empower local, high school graduating seniors at McClatchy and Sacramento High School, to prepare students for the realities of college. I was so grateful I was to be selected to launch this program. What distinguished me from other candidates was my training as a coach. It was meaningful and fullfilling. Even today, when I run into my students, they report it made a huge difference in their first year of college.
What types of students have you worked with?
My coaching clients come from all "walks of life." They are seeking life strategies to create a meaningful and fullfilling life. It has been the greatest honor of my life to work with indiduals who are motivated to create the life of their dreams.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I am currently coaching an engineer who was discouraged about his "boring" life. He shared that the fun, zest, and excitement was gone. Today you would not recognize him. He restored his health; loss 85 lbs.; revitalized and reenergized his marriage; and reconfigured his business. It was a complete "lifestyle liberation." What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
There is no reason to you need to accomplish your goals alone. Successful people have coaches. They see coaching as an investment in themselves, not an expense.
