Madeline's Vocal Studio
About
I absolutely love my students, and give them 100% of my time and attention. If you have a question I cannot ask, I use my 10+ years of experience to help us find the best answer we can together so that we can learn and grow as a student and teacher. I have Masters in Fine Arts, and a Bachelors degree in Music. I studied at University College Cork in Cork, Ireland, as well as University of the Pacific in Stockton California. I have 6 years of teaching experience and have performed internationally. I help students achieve their goals by creating a structure plan and practice schedule. The rest is up to my dear students to show up and do the work!! Excited to get to know you!!

"My voice lessons with Maddie have quickly become one of my favorite parts of my work. She is attentive, patient, and genuinely cares about her students' growth and well-being. Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Our first lesson is usually getting to know what you want to learn and sing as well as singing through some vocal excersises.
Our second lesson we will establish goals and how we will achieve those, as well as vocal excersises.
Each lesson we will spend time doing excerises, then discussing technique and pedagogy, then practicing assigned repertoire and checking in with our progress in accomplishing goals.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I studied at UCC, Cork, Ireland for my MA in Fine Arts. I studied at UOP in Stockton, California for my BA in Music. Each experience has taught me so much and provided for many experiences in performance and theoretical studies.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Yes. 30$ per half hour, 60$ per hour.
How did you get started teaching?
I began teaching in my Undergraduate studies and have loved it every since!
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with all ages and genders starting from ages 6 all the way to ages 30 and above.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Recently, during COVID, I have been so fond of working with my students. It has given both me and them a sense of expression and regularity that seems to be missing in our current state of the world.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
When looking for a voice teacher find someone who fits well with who you are, and you feel comfortable with. Singing is a mental game, we have no instrument to hide behind - we ARE the instrument!! Make sure you feel comfortable showing the most precious part of you, your words and voice!!! Then you can start sharing your voice even more with the world!
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Think about long term and short term voice goals. Think about WHY you are singing! Think about how much time and dedication you can give to your lessons. Will you respect your teachers time and show up on time and prepared to lessons?
