What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Our first lesson is centered around finding out what the student already knows, and where the holes are in their soccer knowledge so I can determine what to focus on. We also speak about the student’s goals, and then figure out the best way to proceed.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Coach Victor was a soccer player before becoming a coach. He started his career at a City College of San Francisco where he played from 1995 to 1997. In 1997, he left to Honduras to pursue his career and played with Fútbol Club Montagua. He decided to come back to the US and play with the Bay Area Seals from 1999 to 2001. After being with the Seals for a couple of years, he left and played with the SF Glenn Greek Americans. In 2004, he broke his ankle and decided that coaching would be the best option. Coach Victor has been coaching for over 16 years. He has coached Vallejo United, Vallejo High School, DFC, Benicia, American Canyon Atlético. He is currently coaching Will C. Wood High School in Vacaville and an upcoming semi pro team name AFC Solano.
