Jim Guerin Music.

I have a studio equipped with two high quality acoustic studio upright pianos (Kawai and Yamaha), as well as recording equipment. My 24 student population (ages 4-17 plus 4 adults) have access to group classes, concerts, attend opera, and participate in recitals. I am a jazz performer in San Diego but with deep classical roots. I am a member of the Suzuki Association of the Americas, am on the local board, have a classroom teaching credential from California, and am a member of the Music Teacher Association of California. My lessons are dynamic and tailored to students, who are highly motivated to learn.

I love teaching the entire age range. I connect with ear players because I can play by ear, but also with readers because I used to memorize everything I played. Teaching is at the center of my life.
