The Catchers Farm
About
My name is Franklin Smith and I am the assistant varsity coach at Marin Catholic. In addition to this I run a program called The Catchers Farm that focuses on developing catchers into great baseball players and great young men. I am also the catching coach for the Bombers Baseball Club and Marin Baseball. My experience with a variety of skill levels and my desire to constantly learn new things is what helps my players see the improvement they are looking for.
Since I was 4 years old, Catching has been the thing I am most passionate about. I caught in college and as soon as I was done I was focused on how I could pass on all the information that I have obtained.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
The first thing we do together is a skill assessment. This will be recorded and I will take it and study it and develop an individual plan for my players.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been a high school baseball coach for 7 years. I played at Southeastern University in Lakeland, Florida. I currently work with kids from the lowest level of little league to college players.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Families can choose between a 45 minute lesson for $60 or an hour lesson for $70. I also do packages of 5 lessons and 10 lessons.
