I am happy to travel to your home with all these things, and look forward to making a customized routine--something I will give you as a personal reference point each and every time we meet. Keeping track of your workout, and knowing just how to execute it will be a snap with these tools in hand.

    Karen is just terrific, the best! I have been training with her for a couple of years, getting private lessons. She is extremely knowledgeable, and, being the daughter of a physics professor, sometimes even rattles off some relevant fact about biochemistry. Karen is also personable, friendly and easy to talk to, which for me is an important trait for a personal trainer. We usually start with a brisk cardio walk, during which I gripe about all my difficulties in getting into an exercise routine and my problems with insomnia etc. She is really sympathetic, simpatico is perhaps a more accurate word, and offers a lot of useful suggestions about getting in shape etc. She then gets me to work out, correcting my posture, encouraging me along, and in general performing her job most admirably. You will be happy to train with her. I give her my highest recommendation!

    I have been training with Karen for the last year and a half and I cannot say enough about how great a trainer she is. I am now in the in a good shape of my life and it just keeps getting better with her help. I love her workouts always challenging, effective and fun. when I first met Karen she was training a group class about 14 people however she took time for everyone. Karen made me feel welcomed and helped me with posture and form which really made me feel I was at the right place with the right trainer. When you think of hiring a trainer for your fitness goals you need to make sure your hiring someone that has knowledge, experience and good teaching skills to help you reach your potential well that is Karen, She is wonderful at her job!

    Karen is so clearly a master in her trade. I have gotten in such great shape working with her at the YMCA. I was really great at running/walking, but my upper body was quite weak. She has whipped me into shape. She is non-judgemental, educated on how the body works, and has been really great while pregnant too. I a fabulous resource!

    Id like to offer an enthusiastic recommendation for Karen. We met at the Y when I attended her bootcamp sessions which were awesome - fun, challenging, and always incorporating multiple exercises and alternatives to suit specific needs. I was sufficiently impressed to then move on to personal training with Karen, which is a blast. She knows her stuff for sure. She takes the time to plan the sessions in advance and keeps them focused on goals and respectful of any health issue or limitation. We have a lot of fun and the workout is great. If you want to have a great time exercising with an intelligent, fit and fun person work out with Karen. You wont regret it!

    Frequently asked questions

    We'll discuss what the client wants to achieve, why, and if there is a deadline--such as a reunion, an athletic competition, or other event spurring the fitness goal--when results need to be in place. If there are any fitness challenges the client faces--such as injuries or physical limitations--we'll talk about that in depth, too.

    Then, I'll perform a dynamic fitness test to ascertain: flexibility, mobility, balance, cardio endurance, and muscular strength.

    We'll talk about favorite activites, and determine the modalities of exercise the client would be most likely to stick with. . .and then I will create a one-of-a-kind fitness regimen to implement going forward.

    Naturally we will meet as many times as necessary to ensure the client has developed both muscle memory, and proper technique--and each and every time, I will bring something different to the session, while reviewing that which we've already practiced.

    I am a certified personal fitness trainer through NASM since 2015, as well as a certified Group X instructor through Fitour since 2017. I am a lifelong athlete, enjoying sports ranging from long distance running, to deep ocean swimming.

    Price per session is 40.-, I offer package deals, also, and depending on the package purchased, pro-rate the cost--passing on a substantial savings to those that prefer to buy in bulk.
