Professional teacher since 2002. Graduated with Guitar Institute of Technology Certificate of Completion in Guitar Performance from Musician's Institute in Hollywood, Ca. Recording artist on Metalville Records (GER) with Archer Nation, touring musician worldwide.
Teaching has been a passion of mine since day one. It reinforces my own knowledge of the instrument while bringing clarity to the often "mysterious" and daunting task of improving one's technical ability and theoretical knowledge of the instrument. Enthusiastic about all styles of music and guitar playing. No age or style denied! Studying reading of music is an optional pursuit - not required, only if desired.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Lesson plans are specific to each individual's needs based on existing ability, knowledge, and desired results going forward. Music reading instruction is not required, though available if desired. My goal is to advance students' skills and knowledge while keeping things exciting throughout by using a blend of "book" knowledge (theory, formal instruction, etc) with corresponding contemporary examples of recorded music and guitarists that appeals to the individual student's tastes and desires. Anything is possible as long as we have the passion for playing and the thirst for knowledge!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Teaching professionally since 2002. Attended Musician's Institute on Proficiency Scholarship 2004-2005; Graduated from MI's Guitar Institute of Technology in 2005 with Certificate of Completion in Guitar Performance. Hundreds of hours of experience teaching of 10+ years of helping students of all ages and skill levels. Professional recording artist and international touring musician with Archer Nation - Santa Cruz, Ca -based hard rock/heavy metal band.

How did you get started teaching?
Started teaching in high school (2002) to fellow students as a way to reinforce my own knowledge and found a real passion for the art of conveying and sharing musical knowledge and advice with others.
