My teaching approach:

Youth students are part of the Martin Shears School Of Rock after school program. The beginner stage: One weekly 45-minute personal lesson where students learn the basics of their instrument, and become proficient enough to play through basic songs. The intermediate stage is a combination of one 45-minute personal lesson and one 2.5-hour group jam lesson per week. This is where students learn how to make music as a group and will perform publicly as a band. Adult methods are based on ability.

My influences are:

Classic and Modern Rock. Some examples: Beatles, Pink Floyd, The Who, Rolling Stones, Clash, Tom Petty, Crowded House, Pretenders etc

Lead guitar, Rhythm guitar, Open tuning, Fingerstyle, Vocal Accompaniment, Performance, Improvisation, Jamming Skills, Music Theory, Scales and Exercises, Song Writing, Recording and Production, Guidance In Equipment Selection
