MEDITATION/MINDFULNESS TRAINING

I have taught mindfulness/meditation for the past five years in schools, hospitals, and clinics. This is grounded in my 10+ years of personal meditation practice. Like all of us embarking on this path, I came to meditation because of suffering - stress, anxiety, and an overall feeling of unsatisfactoriness. Mindfulness has been a cornerstone of my personal and professional life.

I have a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology with an extensive clinical and research background in mindfulness-based practices. I am currently working as a postdoctoral psychological assistant in private practice as I accrue hours for licensure in California. I am also a Board Certified Biofeedback Therapist with 5+ years of experience.

It is very important to note that mindfulness/meditation sessions offered here are NOT psychotherapy. If you are interested in psychotherapy or biofeedback services, please contact myself or my supervisor through marreropsychology.com.

Sessions can be done in-person or via video conference.

BASKETBALL SKILLS TRAINING

I grew up with a love for basketball and played in leagues (both school and travel) from elementary school through high school. I coached teams for a number of years at summer camp in Michigan. Recently, I coached a 3rd-4th grade team at the YMCA in Alaska (during my residency). Just as much as playing, I love teaching others the game.

I work with children, adolescents, and adults. We can focus on anything from the basics - dribbling, shooting, passing, and basic rules - to more sophisticated training at a competitive level. I will meet you at your convenient location.

I enjoy helping others reach a higher potential. I see and treat everyone as an equal, a fellow human being doing the best they can - we simply have different strengths and areas for growth. I enjoy teaching others the skills that I myself am beginning to gain some mastery over.
