Hey there! My name is Mauricio G. Jr. I've been teaching for almost 6 years, and have been playing professionally all over LA for longer than that.
I have a bachelor's degree from California State University, Northridge in Media and Commercial composition, with an emphasis in guitar.
I've played for legendary musicians like, Phil Collins, Shaun Martin, Otmaro Ruiz, Abraham Laboriel Sr., Gregg Bisonette, Tim Pierce, and many more.
I play every weekend at the 10,000 member mega church Sepherd of the Hills: Westside, and have played all around LA for events and shows, including the Special Olympics in 2015
In the summer of 2016 I played the legendary Montreux Jazz festival with the Little Dreams Band, Phil Collins' organization, where we played one of my original compositions.
I'm a fun loving, engaging teacher that takes pride in seeing my students understand musical concepts, and grow as musicians and people.
