Photography is about passion. I enjoying sharing my passion and experience with others, helping them achieve their goals. While I am new to Lessons.com, I frequenlty help others needing photographic guidance.

I am formally trained in analog film processes, large, medium and small format cameras, digital workflow, location and studio lighting tecniques, architectural, product and people photography. My images have been used for advertising, and published in Dwell, Elle Decor, New York Times, Forbes, Variety and others.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

Initially, we'll review some of the student's work together to asses their current knowledge level. At the same time, discuss with the student their obectives, and any specific areas of interest. Students may identify their areas of interest, and select topics to suit their goals....Some avaialble topics include:

Photographic Composition / Understanding Cameras & Lenses / Photographic Lighting / B & W Darkroom Processes / Working in Adobe Lightroom / Basic Retouching in Photoshop / Studio Photography / Architectural Photography / People Photography / The Business of Photography and others!

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I received my BFA in photography from Brooks Institute in Santa Barbara, California. Following graduation, I worked with several Los Angeles based advertising photographers. I owned a photography studio in Hollywood, producing images for advertising. Since then, I have been involved in photography, marketing and advertising in several sectors. I am currently working full time as an architectural photographer with a fully equipped production van in Los Angeles, California.
