Calabasas Piano Studio

Valentina Dontsov holds a Masters Degree in piano performance and pedagogy from Odessa State Conservatory, Ukraine (former Soviet Union). Prior to her study at the Conservatory, she graduated from Odessa's Special Music School established by Professor Stolyarsky.

Mrs. Dontsov started her teaching career during her study at the Conservatory in 1975. She taught at various Music Schools in Odessa and Saint Petersburg and performed as a Piano Trio Soloist and Accompanist.

After her immigration to the United States, Valentina pursued a career as a private piano instructor, establishing her own Piano Studio in Calabasas in 1995. She is a member of the Music Teachers Association of California and has served on the Board of Directors for the past 10 years. From 2010 to 2012 she was a President of the San Fernando West Valley Branch.

The goals of Valentina Dontsov's Studio is to provide an environment suitable for the instruction and enjoyment of music. Lesson programs are designed to meet the specific needs of each student by using a variety of methods based on her own experience. Students have an opportunity to start when they turn 3 years old with the pre-school program and continue through the end of the high school with the Certificate of Merit Program.
