    Frequently asked questions

A person who is new to the Pilates Method, has to start with a introduction package, of 5 privates, 3 group classes, to give them a chance to learn the basics and build a foundation of finding the right muscles to work with, while doing an exercise. This also will give the teacher the chance to get to know the individual needs and strength of their client and to develop the appropriate exercise starting level.

For people who have been doing pilates for many years, we offer a reduced priced private, so the teacher has a chance to evaluate the skills and needs of the new client and we can find an aprpriet group class for them if that is how they like to train.

Ballet training in my younger years and horseback riding through out my life has showed me how important it is to have harmony, balance, strength, and flexibility in our body, mind and spirit.

Discovering Pilates for myself 5 years ago was what put it all together finally. Becoming a teacher was a natural way of being able to provide for others what I had learned and feeling great all over again with the good energy that is created while doing Pilates.

The Hundred &More studio works with ceveral classical trained Pilates Teachers.

Feel free to come and observe their teaching or contact them personally to find your best match.

Overcoming an injury brought me to The Pilates Method. Seeing the effect and recovery ability by learning the correct use of my body and by correctly aligning myself, had inspired the wish of learning it all on the deepest level. Teacher Training was the way to go. On my chosen journey I discovered that teaching actually gives an added twist to the feeling 'good' aspect of doing Pilates.

our youngest student in the studio is 16 , working on recovering from a sports injury. Our oldest client is in the eighties, finding more strength, mobility and balance which gives back a better everyday life activity level and all around happiness that comes with it.

Go the classical Pilates route.  Skip the big group classes. Look for a trainer who can teach you the work in each exercise and remember:

It is not the quantity , but the quality of how you perform an exercise which will bring you to your goal

    What are their goals!

    recovery?

Improving on a sport they love?

Balancing out their body because of one sided use (i.e. Tennis, golf..)

Balancing out their body for the sport they love ( i.e. Dance, Horseback Riding...)
