About
I listen to my students and what it is they want to get out of learning the instrument and not impose what I think they should learn. I enjoy the process of watching the student learn and I always learn something myself!
I love music period. I love performing and also helping others to get to where they would like to be on the guitar whenever possible. It’s a great experience seeing people progress

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I first like talking with them over the phone to get an idea of what they wanna learn whether it’s just a song they like or a certain style. I also require that they know at least just the basic chords which they can learn online or out of a beginning guitar lessons book. I don’t like taking money for something they can do on their own and it makes the lessons go smoother if they have at least a few chords under their belt.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have played guitar professionally for about 30 years now
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I’ve Decided to try something new and barter my lessons
How did you get started teaching?
I had a bad experience with my first and only guitar teacher and swore I would and could do a better job
What types of students have you worked with?
Teenagers wanting to learn a certain lick, song or style as well as adults just wanting to learn their wife’s favorite song!
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Playing on Bourbon Street in New Orleans 4 nights a week with some of the best players out there!
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Find a teacher who’s patient and willingto listen to you and not just some joker that feels the need to show you how good he is to boost his ego and take your money in the process
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
How much do you charge for lessons LOL. Seriously though, everyone has different reasons for wanting to learn and that may or may not change over time. Don’t think too hard on it. Try it and if you decide it’s not for you it’s not the end of the world, Peace
