Hey fellow coach! (Because let's be real, as a parent you also wear the coach hat, as well as many others)
When I say I love what I do, I mean I LOVE what I do. It's not just about teaching young athletes the ins and outs of baseball, it's also about teaching young humans the ins and outs of passion, work ethic, sportsmanship, teamwork, tenacity, punctuality, determination, commitment and so many other life lessons. My goal is to make your child the best possible version of themselves they can be--whether that's as a future Major League Baseball player or not.
I achieve this by accepting them just as the unique individuals they are, helping them see the awesomeness in themselves, building their confidence in their abilities and reassuring them that at the end of the day, win or lose, they will always be more than just baseball players.
I have been teaching/coaching baseball for multiple years and I pull all my knowledge and experience from my 10-year career as a professional baseball player, imparting all the lessons I learned onto young athletes. I was drafted by the Tampa Bay Rays out of high school and was voted Best Catcher in the organization multiple times.
The best part of my job has got to be the smile on the face of kids when either I tell them a silly joke, give them a high five or when they have that lightbulb moment where they finally achieve something and they're so happy with themselves :)

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
First, I will assess where the athlete's skill level is at. Based on that assessment is where we will commence with certain drills. Then, we will either work to develop the basic fundamentals necessary to become a baseball player, or we will hone the skills that are already there in order to become an even better baseball player. Lastly, once the fundamentals are where they need to be, it will be about practice and repetition. Honing those skills to the point where they will just be second-nature as opposed to something that has to be thought of beforehand. Every great athlete becomes great because of countless hours of repetition that hone the skills that are necessary come game time.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I began playing baseball at five years old, I was drafted out of high school by the Tampa Bay Rays (forgoing multiple scholarship offers from schools like Stanford, Harvard, Columbia and many others), I played professionally for 10 years and I have been teaching/coaching baseball since I became a professional.
I also became a certified life coach and took a course on cognitive behavioral therapy.
