Matt Price Guitar Instruction
About
I live for guitar! My uncle gave me my first guitar at age 9, and by age 11 I had caught the “guitar bug” and was playing all the time. I won a statewide guitar competition at age 16 hosted by a music store where I grew up in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. At age 18 I moved to Los Angeles where I attended and graduated from Musicians Institute/Guitar Institute of Technology. I have since been a professional musician, with extensive performing, national / international touring, recording and of course teaching experience.
Through the years teaching music has been a constant, and I have found that passing on the gift of playing music to another person is one of the most rewarding parts of my journey as a musician. I teach a wide assortment of styles (Rock, Blues, Hard Rock/Metal, Country, Jazz, Acoustic/Folk, etc.) and teach music theory, technique, reading and ear training. I customize my lessons to each students goals, taste and abilities. I accept students of all ages and levels, from beginners (young and old) to intermediate and advanced.
